An overseas commission

This was a portrait done for a Dutch friend, of his parents in a very cold and glary place. This was definitely a challenge, but I loved drawing all those different fabrics and textures. I think this is probably the biggest portrait I've done, at nearly a1 size. I took it with me to Holland in February 2005 and he gave it to his parents in July. Apparently they loved it :)
